Bitcoin volumes in Hongkong soar on peer-to-peer (P2P) trading website LocalBitcoins as China quietly deploys thousands of troops into the former British colony. Approx. US$1.56 million in Bitcoin volume was recorded, up from US$500,000 the previous week, with residents reportedly paying an US$80 premium.
